birthdays

On March 10, 2008, I started this blog.  Wow.  It’s kinda hard to believe that I’ve been around for an entire year.  I feel like so much has happened in the past 365 days, but that’s not actually the case.

Let’s see: I got a master’s degree in international development policy (I’m basically awesome), moved back to New York City, and got a job.  That’s about it.  I’ve taken a few trips, but nothing lifechanging.  Life since July 21, 2008 (my first day with a real job) has been mostly lame. 

But anyways, my blog is 1 :) 

Thanks to everyone who has been reading and leaving comments about my not-so-fulfilling life! You all are super fantastic.  I promise to make things more interesting this year. Maybe. 

To start, this blog is in serious need of a facelift.  I’ve been all over random blog design sites, but I can’t figure anything out.  My job will probably continue to consume my life until May so I might have to put this off until the summer.

Dear Blog,

I haven’t forgotten about you, I swear. I know I made the pact that I would try to write about somewhat interesting things on a regular basis, but something has come up… I have a ginormous midterm tomorrow in my international development economics class. And God only knows what I’m actually being tested on.

Basically, I’ve been studying my brains out for the past few days and seriously neglecting you. I’m really sorry. I’ve been neglecting other things too, like food and sleep and applying for jobs, if it makes you feel any better. After tomorrow at 9:30pm, I will be a better person, I promise.

I’ve gone from livejournal to vox to blogger. What can I say? I really enjoy writing my thoughts. Anyway, I’ve been feeling the need to pull away from google recently, so here I am at wordpress. I’m looking forward to some awesome times… and maybe some interesting entries.
